2. Pump Body and Flow Components
Impeller: One of the core components of the water pump, it rotates at high speed under the drive of the motor, applying centrifugal force or axial force to the liquid, giving it enough power to achieve transmission and pressure boosting.
Pump Shaft: Connects the impeller to the motor shaft, transmitting the torque output by the motor to the impeller, ensuring that the impeller rotates stably at high speed within the pump body.
Volute: Surrounding the impeller, it collects the liquid thrown out from the impeller, converting kinetic energy into pressure energy, and guiding the liquid to smoothly flow out of the water pump.
Pump Casing: The outer shell of the water pump, used to fix and protect the internal key components such as the impeller and shaft, and together with the volute, forms the flow path for the liquid.
3. Sealing and Support Components
Mechanical Seal: Located at the junction between the pump shaft and the pump body, it prevents liquid leakage. Common seals include O-rings and gaskets.
Bearings: Support the rotation of the shaft, reduce friction between the shaft and the pump body, reduce energy loss, and ensure stable operation of the pump.
Bush: A cylindrical component fitted on the shaft, replacing the pump shaft to withstand daily frictional damage, making it easy to replace and relatively inexpensive.
4. Other Auxiliary Components
Flange: A raised disk connecting components, fastened by screws, used to connect pipes or the pump body to other equipment.
Valve: A component that controls the flow direction of the liquid; there are manual and automatic types.
Filter: Used to clean impurities in the liquid, protecting the internal components of the pump from damage.
